New stable release update: 30 September 2026 - Update 1

The LAMMPS 30Sep2026 stable release version update 1 is now available for download on GitHub and in the LAMMPS webserver download area.

This is the first update for the new stable release version from a month ago. We are currently receiving many bug reports and bug fixes, so updates are sooner and contain more changes than in previous years. Most of the bugs are about corner cases or not in frequently used features.
