Silver nanoparticles

Work by Edison da Silva and collaborators (Institute of Physics, UNICAMP, Brazil) on the sintering of Ag nanoparticles. Electron-beam irradiation of silver tungstate generates metallic silver filaments and nanoparticles; surface plasmon resonance turns the nanoparticles into interacting electric nano-dipoles that undergo sintering. Long-time atomistic MD connects theory and experiment.
