Shearing polydisperse particles

A system with granular particles of a wide variety of diameters is sheared. This input is a demonstration of using neighbor style multi. For standard neighbor lists (bin, nsq), the (uniform) cutoff for the neighbor lists would be determine by the largest particles and thus the small particles would have very large neighborlists with far more neighbors than they need to consider. By using neigh_modify collection/interval 6 1.5 3 10 30 100 200 the particles are sorted into 6 groups with a different neighbor list cutoff. The spheres are color coded by the neighbor list cutoff category they are assigned to.
