Ellipsoids in LJ background

The Gay-Berne potential models ellipsoidal particles in a solvent of spherical particles (2d). The animation on the left was rendered with PyMOL after converting the LAMMPS output with the pymol_asphere tool. The animation on right was rendered with LAMMPS’ dump image command.
