The contact state between the armature and rails is closely related to the temperature rise effect and wear characteristics of the armature- rail interface. In this paper, the friction and wear behavior between the armature and rails is studied from the atomic scale by molecular dynamics simulation. The temperature distribution of the armature and rails during the electromagnetic launch is obtained by finite element simulation. Based on the electromagnetic rail launch experiment, the influence of capacitor charging voltage and armature surface roughness on the contact characteristics between the armature and rails was obtained. Finally, the surface morphology of the armature after launch was analyzed, and its wear mechanism was analyzed in combination with its cross-section element distribution and morphology.
