We consider the nonequilibrium formation and growth of the stable crystalline phase in a supercooled Yukawa liquid. It is found that for the effective nonideality parameter from the range 120 <= Gamma* <= 150, the phase transformation is accompanied with the formation of a spherical nucleus of the body-centered cubic phase. The nucleus growth is successfully approximated by the dependence obtained in the classical nucleation theory and depends on single parameter Gamma* to within the calculation error. The possible dependence of surface tension coefficient gamma of the interface on nucleus radius R is disregarded. Upon further cooling of the liquid to Gamma* = 160, the phase layering was observed over the entire volume of the system without the formation of a compact nucleus.
